Access to clean water in Chad & Niger

Located in the Sahel of Africa, Chad and Niger are the top two countries with the highest levels of extreme physical poverty (MPI) and two of the top three least developed countries in the world (HDI). More than 23 million people in Chad and Niger lack access to safe drinking water, over 50% of the population (MPI). 98% of Niger (27M people) and 55% of Chad (10M people) are unreached with the Gospel (JP).

After vetting hundreds of organizations, All Access members are helping Neverthirst empower 210,642 people in Chad & Niger with sustainable access to safe drinking water and the Gospel by 2028. Neverthirst and their implementing partner (LMI) will construct 119 water systems with 509 tap stands in local communities and schools throughout the target districts. They will train local communities how to maintain their new water systems, how to reduce disease prevalence through improved hygiene and sanitation methods, and they will mobilize and equip local pastors to reach the unreached communities around them.

This program is expected to improve the safe water access coverage in two undisclosed districts in Chad and Niger from 56% and 73% to 100% by 2028. This will reduce the subnational MPI of people that lack access to safe drinking water in Chad and Niger from 21% to 9% and from 69% to 65%.

$40 empowers one person with access to safe drinking water and the Gospel.
